The play
How it works in BIP
Capture the signup
A signup hits your backend and your backend hits BIP: one request with the lead as an object — name, email, phone, tags. BIP deduplicates by email or phone, so a returning contact enriches the same profile instead of creating a double.
Fire the hello in the same call
The same trigger call queues the welcome campaign. The email arrives with their name via variables, and up to three webhooks can notify your CRM or Slack in the same send.
Or greet the week’s newcomers on schedule
Prefer batches? A recurring campaign on a segment like "created in the last 7 days" greets every new face once a week — the audience rebuilds itself before each send.
Signed up at 9:03, welcomed at 9:04
A new customer signs up at 9:03. The API call that created her lead also queues the welcome — at 9:04 it’s in her inbox, first name and all, while the webhook posts "new signup" to your team’s Slack. No sync job, no spreadsheet export, no second integration. One request did the whole reception.

Questions about this play
Can’t find the answer you’re looking for? Talk to our team — a human replies.
Can I create the lead and send the welcome in one call?
Yes. Pass the lead as an object in the campaign trigger call — BIP upserts the contact and queues the message in one request.
Will repeat signups create duplicate contacts?
No. If the email or phone already exists, BIP merges the new data into the existing profile — extra emails, tags, and fields are aggregated, never duplicated.
How do I avoid welcoming old contacts by mistake?
Use the new-leads window on the campaign: it only sends to contacts created in the last X hours, so a re-run never re-welcomes your whole base.
